Health

MRDA supports primary healthcare activities in Mundri East, southern Sudan, since 1997. We support provision of preventive and curative health services and construction of health facilities. Currently, eleven of the 12 health facilities we support are permanent structures. Our primary healthcare programme serves 58,429 through a network of 12 health facilities.

Some of our current primary healthcare projects are:

• Mundri Health Transformation Project in partnership with Action Africa Health (AAH). The project is funded by USAID through John Snow Inc and now Management Systems Health (MSH).
•    Mpower! Project focuses on responsible behaviour in areas of sexual and reproductive health; nutrition and hygiene; and sanitation. The project works with young people.
